โ€ผ๏ธ Noles add SEVEN | Bot 2: FSU 8, CLEM 0

Drew Faurot scores on a wild pitch

Drew Faurot and Chase Williams started the bottom of the inning with a pair of singles. With runners on the corners, Bell threw a wild pitch, letting Faurot score from third and Williams advance to second.

After a few pickoff attempts from Bell, Williams stole third, and Carns took a walk to get runners at the corners again with only one out. B.J. Bailey came to the mound to replace Bell with the Noles threatening.

Harrelson laid down a bunt to bring Williams home, but it resulted in a scary infield collision between Bailey and the second baseman, Dillard. Bailey stayed in the game, but McCladdie came in to 2B to replace Dillard.

Lodise took a walk to load the bases then Myles Bailey was hit by a pitch to score the Noles' fourth run. Fisher reached on a throwing error, scoring the fifth run. Nathan Dvorsky replaced Bailey on the mound for Clemson

Faurot took a walk, scoring another run, and Chase Williams singled to right center to bring home two more. Cmeyla then grounded out, finally ending the inning, but the damage had been done: SEVEN more runs for Florida State.

๐Ÿฏ CANNARELLA GIVES CLEMSON THE LEAD | Top 8: CLEM 4, FSU 3

Cam Cannarella has given the Tigers new life, putting Clemson in front with a wacky inside-the-park home run.

An inning filled with rain and a slippery Mike Martin Field, Jack Crighton got the party started with a single up the middle. Joey Volini struck out Jacob Jarrell, but Jay Dillard responded with a double down the line to put runners on second and third.

Volini struck out Andrew Ciufo, but that's when Cannarella flipped the contest on its head. The junior smashed a triple to center field wall, and with his speed, slid into third safely. But the play wasn't over just yet, as FSU's relay throw scampered past third base and to Florida State's dugout.

Cannarella took off for home while Volini chased down the loose baseball, and before the center fielder could reach home plate, he tripped just inches away from the base. The Seminoles had Cannarella dead to rights, but with Volini's bad throw to Nathan Cmeyla at the plate, Cannarella collected himself and scored.

The play handed Clemson the lead back for the first time since the fifth inning.

Volini struck out Josh Paino to end the frame.

๐Ÿ’ฃ Harrelson goes deep | Bot 7: FSU 3, CLEM 1

Insurance run? Check.

Gage Harrelson added to the Seminoles' lead, mashing a homer to right field and making it a 3-1 ball game. It was his fifth of the season.

Alex Lodise was inches away from joining Harrelson and Nathan Cmeyla in the home run category, driving a ball to the center field wall, but Cam Cannarella made an outstanding catch to spoil those hopes.

Clemson pulled McGovern after the amazing catch, turning to right-hander Chance Fitzgerald. The sophomore got Max Williams to fly out, but Myles Bailey was plunked and Cal Fisher singled to right field, putting runners on first and second with two outs. Fitzgerald got out of the jam by striking out Drew Faurot to end the inning.
