On January 10, the University of Texas basketball team sophomore Andrew Jones had been diagnosed with leukemia and had begun treatment. 

In the days since the announcement, the Big 12 community has rallied around Jones and the Longhorns to show their support.

It began the night of Jan. 10, when Texas pulled out a dramatic 99-98 OT win at home over a ranked TCU squad. The Longhorns held Jones’s jersey up before the game in an awesome show of solidarity.

After a double OT win over No. 16 TCU, Texas carried the jersey of sophomore Andrew Jones, who is battling leukemia. (via )

At Texas’s next game three days later, vs. Oklahoma State, the Cowboys  to honor Jones:

The Cowboys will wear these special shooting shirts in honor of Texas guard Andrew Jones. We're behind you all the way, Andrew!

On Jan. 17, Texas Tech did the same thing, donning Jones’s No. 1:

Stay strong, Andrew. Keep fighting.

On Jan. 20, West Virginia expressed a conference-wide solidarity for Jones with “Big 12 Strong” t-shirts:

Earlier this season, Texas sophomore guard Andrew Jones was diagnosed with leukemia.

Today, the West Virginia Mountaineers showed their support for the Longhorns.

The Longhorns have also added a patch to their jerseys, which they'll wear for the rest of the season:
