2025 ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ DIII women's hockey championship bracket announced

DIII women's ice hockey: 2025 selection show

INDIANAPOLIS — The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Committee has announced the twelve teams selected for the 2025 ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship. Of the twelve teams in the championship field, eight of the teams received automatic qualification berths as winners of their conference championship. Four institutions were selected with at-large berths, which consists of institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that were not the conference champions and independent institutions.

    • Conference of New England, Endicott
    • Middle Atlantic Conference, Wilkes
    • Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Augsburg
    • New England Hockey Conference, Elmira
    • New England Small College Athletic Conference, Amherst
    • State University of New York Athletic Conference, Plattsburgh State
    • United Collegiate Hockey Conference, Nazareth
    • Women's Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, St. Norbert
  • At-large Berths (4):
    • Colby
    • Gustavus Adolphus
    • Middlebury
    • University of Wisconsin-River Falls

Four first-round games will be played on March 15, and four quarterfinal games will be played on March 22. All tournament games will be played on campus sites. First-round games will be played at 3 p.m. local time. Quarterfinal round games will be played at 3 p.m. local time. 

The championship will be held March 28 and 30 at Hunt Arena in River Falls, Wisconsin, with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls serving as hosts. Two semifinal games will take place on Friday, March 28, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern and the championship game on Sunday, March 30, will be played at 4 p.m. Eastern. In 2024, UW-River Falls defeated Elmira 4-1 for the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship title and capped off a historic 31-0 season, the most wins in a season and the second undefeated season all-time in Division III women’s ice hockey history.

Wisconsin-River Falls wins the 2025 ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ DIII women's ice hockey championship

The 2025 DIII women’s ice hockey championship selection show aired Sunday, March 9, at 8:30 p.m. ET on sifoeeprocess.com. The 12-team tournament begins on March 15.
