2025 DII softball: championship recap

UT Tyler completed back-to-back national championship runs, topping Tampa in the championship series of the 2025 ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ DII softball tournament.

The tournament began with the selection show on Monday, May 5. Find the full selection release here. Action concluded at Frost Stadium at Warner Park, Chattanooga, Tenn.

How we got here: Four teams participated at each of 16 regional sites in a double-elimination tournament. The 16 teams advancing from regional competition then participated in a two-team, best-of-three super regional at eight sites. The finals included the eight super regional winners. The national champion was determined in a best-of-three final series, with UT Tyler sweeping (6-0, 3-0).
