The start lists for the 2025 ������Ƶ Division I indoor track and field championships have been announced. Here's a look at heats you don't want to miss when action begins on the track.

Heat 2 men’s 60 meters

Heat 2 of the men’s 60 meters will go a long way towards determining the men’s team title race. There will be two runners from Southern California (JC Stevenson and Travis Williams), two runners from Auburn (Kanyinsola Ajayi and Azeem Fahmi) and one runner from defending champ Texas Tech in Malachi Snow. That’s a loaded heat with plenty of implications, and when adding the top HBCU sprinter in Alabama State’s Jamarion Stubbs and North Texas standout Jaylen Washington, the heat becomes can’t miss.

Heat 1 women’s 60 meters

When start lists were released, one of the first things that stood out was sprinters Brianna Lyston and Tima Godbless of LSU and TCU’s Indya Mayberry are all in the same heat for the women’s 60 meters. The trio sat atop the national leaderboard in the event for most of the winter and now they’ll face off in what could be a preview of the podium.

Heat 2 women’s 200 meters

Three USC women, Jassani Carter, Madison Whyte and Dajaz Defrand, are all in Heat 2 of the women’s 200 meters. Three women from the same school are in the same heat but only the top eight fastest times from the entire four heats of 200 meters will advance. Will all three Trojans make it to the next round after running against each other?

Heat 4 men’s 200 meters

The top two 200 meter runners from the SEC will go head-to-head in Heat 4 of the men’s 200 meters as Auburn’s Makanakaishe Charamba faces Kentucky’s Carli Makarawu. Those two also have the fastest 200 meter times in the nation this year. That’s a great way to close out the heats in the event.

Heat 1 men’s 60 meter hurdles

Texas Tech’s Antoine Andrews and Malachi Snow and Auburn’s Ja’Kobe Tharp could all win the title in the men’s 60 meter hurdles. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least two of the three finished in the top three for the event. All three will first race in Heat 1 of the men’s 60 meter hurdles.

Heat 4 women’s 400 meters

First and second place of the SEC women’s 400 meter final both ran sub-50 seconds. Those women, Georgia’s Aaliyah Butler and Arkansas’ Isabella Whittaker, will face off again in the final heat of the women’s 400 meters. Get your popcorn ready.
