All-American honors are on the line this morning. The winner of each quarterfinal locks up his place on the podium, and here are three of the most interesting match-ups to watch:
1. 141 pounds: No. 3 Jesse Mendez (Ohio State) vs. No. 6 Vance Vombaur (Minnesota)
The last time these two athletes wrestled, Mendez gutted out a 6-5 win in tie-breakers, but VomBaur seems to only continue to improve. He beat 2024 Ƶ runner-up Bartlett in the 2024 Big Ten semifinals, and he's a dangerous draw the Buckeye returning champ.

2. 174 pounds: No. 1 Keegan O'Toole (Missouri) vs. No. 24 Lenny Wolak (Virginia Tech)
Virginia Tech's Wolak is the lowest seed to advance to the quarterfinals, and his reward for that success will be a shot against the two-time Ƶ champion Keegan O'Toole of Missouri. O'Toole has been known for his dominance throughout his career, but he was on upset watch yesterday against No. 16 Lorenzo Norman before he gutted out big points in the third period and held on for the win 10-8. He'll now get a red shot Wolak who All-American'd at this tournament last year and already has a win over All-American Carson Kharchla this weekend.

The winner of this quarterfinal will lock up All-Americans and see the winner of No. 2 Parker Keckeisen of Northern Iowa vs. Edmond Ruth of Illinois.
