Following the 2020 COVID-19 cancelation, the return of March Madness saw No. 1 seed Baylor earn its first national title after defeating Gonzaga 86-70 in the championship game. It was also the year bracket buster No. 15 seed Oral Roberts took down No. 2 seed Ohio State in the first round and made a run into the Sweet 16.
