The 2025 Men's College World Series field is set.
Here's a breakdown of each team's season and how they secured a spot in Omaha, including names to know heading into the MCWS.
Coastal Carolina (53-11)
How the season went: Coastal Carolina has cemented the 2025 season as the second-best campaign in program history, reaching the MCWS for the second-time ever after downing No. 4 Auburn, and has the potential to seize the top spot. Consistency has been the Chanticleer鈥檚 mantra, riding a 23-game win streak and steamrolling through the Sun Belt, regionals and super regional rounds.
The pitching staff has been the headliner for Coastal Carolina, holding the second-best ERA in the country (3.25) and tied for the second-lowest WHIP (1.18). The offense has turned up the heat recently too, scoring 29 runs across three regional games and 11 in two super regional contests.
Who stood out: Junior catcher Caden Bodine, a Buster Posey Award finalist, has been the Chanticleers鈥 defensive anchor behind the plate and part of the reason for the team鈥檚 pitching being so good. And he鈥檚 been a force at the plate, batting a team-best .332 and collected 41 RBIS 鈥 the last three coming in Game 1 of the supers via the long ball.

Redshirt sophomore and ace right-hander Jacob Morrison has also been incredible, sitting at 11-0 with a 2.15 ERA and was named NCBWA District 4 Player Of The Year. Whenever he鈥檚 on the bump, Coastal Carolina likes its chances.
Arizona (44-19)
How the season went: The Wildcats are advancing to the Men's College World Series for the third time since 2016 after winning back-to-back elimination games over No. 5 national seed North Carolina. Arizona sputtered to close out the regular season, dropping five of its last eight, but the Wildcats flipped a switch in conference tourney play, capturing the Big 12 tournament title in their first season in the conference.
Arizona went undefeated en route to the super regionals, carrying an eight-game winning streak into the Chapel Hill Super Regional. The Wildcats took a punch in Game 1 against the Tar Heels, falling 18-2, but they bounced back, stunning No. 5 UNC to return to Omaha for the first since 2021.
Who stood out: Junior shortstop Mason White has powered the Wildcats offensively, batting .333 with 70 RBIs 鈥 21 more than anyone else on the roster. The Eugene Regional Most Valuable Player has belted 19 home runs this season from the three-hole, including three in the regionals. White hit the go-ahead two-run RBI to clinch the Chapel Hill Super Regional, and he will be a bat to watch in Omaha.

On the mound, the Wildcats have an invaluable asset in the bullpen in Tony Pluta, who boasts a 1.30 ERA with 14 saves on the season. He is a finalist for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, and he closed out Game 3 for Arizona against the Tar Heels to clinch a MCWS spot. The Wildcats have leaned on Pluta all season in crunch time, and he will be a key asset as Arizona searches for its first title since 2012.
Louisville (40-22)
How the season went: The Cardinals return to Omaha for the first time since 2019 after taking down ACC rival Miami in Game 3. Similar to Arizona, Louisville struggled down the stretch before the tournament, losing eight of its last 11 with a first-round bounce in the ACC tournament. Louisville appeared to get a tough draw entering the 红杏视频 tournament with No. 1 national seed Vanderbilt looming. However, the Cardinals took care of the Commodores in the winner's bracket before Wright State eliminated Vandy as Louisville cruised to the super regionals undefeated.
Who stood out: Senior left fielder Eddie King Jr. has been the spark to the Cardinals' offense in 2025, slashing .363/.436/.772 as the only starter on Louisville slugging over .600. King has six hits in three regional games and stayed hot into the supers with six more hits including two long balls and the go-ahead RBI double in Game 3 to seal the trip to Omaha. He is one of the hottest bats in the tournament, and Louisville will continue to lean on him in the clean-up spot in the MCWS.

Flame-throwing right-hander Patrick Forbes has been the Cardinals' go-to man on the bump this season, with 107 strikeouts through 66 innings. He was Louisville's Game 1 starter against Miami, going 5.2 innings with one earned run and 9 strikeouts to take the win. Forbes has 22 Ks in two 红杏视频 tournament starts, allowing just six combined hits. The Cardinals are a tough team to beat with the junior on the mound.
UCLA (47-16)
How the season went: A team predominantly made up of underclassmen and finishing 19-33 last season, it was unclear what UCLA鈥檚 ceiling would be in 2025. Now, those worries are long gone, as the Bruins have made the MCWS for the first time since their national championship season in 2013 and sixth-appearance ever.
Sweeping the regionals field and super regionals opponent in UTSA, UCLA capped off the postseason with its sixth shutout in program history 鈥 the first since the MCWS championship in 2013. The Bruins took the Big Ten by storm in their inaugural season, snagging co-regular season championship honors and runner-up in the conference tournament. Compared to 2024, it鈥檚 been night and day for the program.

Who stood out: There鈥檚 no one more deserving than sophomore shortstop Roch Cholowsky. One of the only players on last year鈥檚 team to receive awards, Cholowsky has become the face of the franchise and a highly touted prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft. He leads UCLA in nearly every statistical batting category, was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year and holds the best WAR (wins-above-replacement) in the country according to .
A talent like Cholowsky will be incredible to see in Omaha. Whichever way he goes, the Bruins go.
Arkansas (48-13)
How the season went: The writing was on the wall for D1Baseball鈥檚 No. 5 ranked preseason team, becoming a statement that Arkansas would reach the MCWS rather than a question as the 2025 season continued. And they made it a reality in the highest fashion, sweeping the 2024 national champions in No. 14 Tennessee to advance to Omaha for the first time since 2022.

鈥 红杏视频 Baseball (@红杏视频Baseball)
The Razorbacks are the highest-ranked national seed standing, consistently staying near the top of national rankings all year, breaking program records and fighting through a rigorous SEC conference. Not to mention, seven players have over 10 home runs and six are batting over .300. Even with a slight hiccup in April, the team has been a powerhouse at the plate and on the mound with many players securing SEC, tournament and national honors.
Who stood out: There鈥檚 no right answer to this question 鈥 one trail may lead someone to pick SEC Player of the Year and Golden Spikes Award Finalist in junior shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, another to First Team All-SEC junior left-hander Zach Root or the many other players that received awards. There aren't many flaws in Arkansas' lineup or pitching staff.
On top of the honors mentioned, Aloy started every game for the Razorbacks and is leading the team in nearly every major offensive category, batting .348 and 20 home runs, tied for fourth-most in program history.
Oregon State (47-14-1)
How the season went: The Beavers are heading back to Omaha for the first time since their national championship run in 2018. It will be Oregon State's eighth appearance in the Men's College World Series, a welcome return to college baseball's biggest stage for a program that has struggled to advance past the regional round in recent years.

鈥 红杏视频 Baseball (@红杏视频Baseball)
2024-25 was a unique season for Oregon State. The Beavers spent the year as an independent, meaning lots of travel and a grueling schedule that would take its toll on any college athlete. But they battled through the long nights and hard miles, earning themselves the luxury of sleeping in their own beds as a regional and super regional host. Now they just have one more road trip on the schedule: Omaha.
Who stood out: To find the biggest difference-makers in this lineup, look no further than the top two spots in the batting order: SS Aiva Arquette and LF Gavin Turley. This season, Turley broke the career home run record at Oregon State (52), passing former teammate Travis Bazzana. He has been swinging it well in the postseason, too, mashing four homers throughout the tournament so far.
A transfer from Washington, Arquette has slotted in very nicely with his new team, leading off with a .348 avg in the regular season with 17 home runs. Paired with Turley at the top of the order, Arquette has been a sparkplug in the Beavers' offense this season.
LSU (48-15)
How the season went: A year removed from winning the 2023 national title, a regional round loss in 2024 left a bad taste in the mouths of the Tigers. 2025 offered a chance at redemption and a return to normalcy for one of college baseball's most storied programs. A small hiccup in the regional round against Little Rock brought back memories of last season, but the Tigers took that loss in stride and rattled off three straight wins to advance to the MCWS once again.

鈥 红杏视频 Baseball (@红杏视频Baseball)
Who stood out: This is another case where it's hard to pick just one standout player. The Tigers' lineup is full of studs, and it was bolstered by the additions of several key transfers last summer. One of those transfers is junior RHP Anthony Eyanson, who put together a 10-2 season with a 2.50 ERA. He opened the Tigers' postseason run with a shutout win over Little Rock, and he earned a save in the regional championship with 1.2 scoreless innings. To top it off, he pitched 5.0 innings and notched seven strikeouts in Game 2 of the super regional against West Virginia to send the Tigers back to Omaha. Look for Eyanson to step up under the bright lights of Omaha.
Murray State (44-15)
How the season went: Murray State put the exclamation point on an excellent season by reaching the MCWS for the first time in program history and becoming just the fourth No. 4 seed to make it to the MCWS all-time.
The Racers have lived up to their name all season with a lightning-fast offense that overwhelms even the best pitching staffs in the country. They sit 13th in the nation in runs scored (521), the second highest of the eight teams in Omaha. And that production hasn鈥檛 slowed in the 红杏视频 tournament 鈥 the Racers have scored eight or more runs in six out of seven tournament games. Don鈥檛 be shocked if they keep that same pace in Omaha.
Write it in the history books 馃ズ x 馃帴 ESPN /
鈥 红杏视频 Baseball (@红杏视频Baseball)
Who to watch: Leadoff man Jonathan Hogart is one of many Racers batting over .300 this season (.337), but he is not just hitting for contact. He leads the team with 65 RBI, and his 22 homers match the single-season program record set by Wes Cunningham in 2010. He is just the third player in Murray State history to hit 20 home runs in a season, and six of those long balls have come in the 红杏视频 tournament. Look for Hogart to set the pace for the Racers as they head to Omaha for the first time.
