1. Coastal Carolina tied the longest win streak in MLB history at 26 games, achieved by the 1916 New York Giants. The Chanticleers have not lost since April 22 against the College of Charleston. Texas in 1977 and Florida Atlantic in 1999 are tied for the longest streak in DI baseball history with 34 consecutive wins.
2. Before Coastal, since the College World Series championship became a best-of-three series in 2003, the longest previous win streak entering the MCWS finals was 13 games held by LSU in 2009.

3. With the win against Louisville on Wednesday, Coastal set the record for most wins in program history (56), beating out the 2016 championship team, which won 55.
