It is time for my regular-season awards for the 2025 college baseball season. Let’s hand out some awards and superlatives:

Top pitcher: Liam Doyle, Tennessee

LIAM DOYLE IS A BAAAAAAAAD MAN!

Career-high tying 14 strikeouts tonight.

Starting with the top pitcher, I am going with Tennessee’s Liam Doyle — just over a 3.00 ERA with over 140 Ks. 

Top catcher: Grant Jay, DBU

Top catcher was tough, but I am giving it to Grant Jay at Dallas Baptist — hitting over .320, 1.138 OPS with 19 homers and great defensively behind the dish.

Top freshman: Alex Hernadez, Georgia Tech

Top freshman: Let’s go Alex Hernandez at Georgia Tech, hitting around .330 with close to 15 homers in his first season. 

Top reliever: Dylan Volantis, Texas

Top reliever, another freshman: We’ve got Texas’ Dylan Volantis. He has been lights out pretty much all season for the Longhorns. 

Top infielder: Roch Cholowsky, UCLA 

For top infielder, I am going with UCLA’s Roch Cholowsky. He's an incredibly solid defensive shortstop, but he also smashed 23 bombs while hitting around .370 and close to 70 RBI. He walks a lot. All around best infielder in my opinion. 

Top outfielder: Drew Burress, Georgia Tech

Top outfielder was tough, but I'm going with Drew Burress. He does it all for the Jackets with close to 20 bombs and hitting .340. 

Home run hitter: Mason Neville, Oregon

The home run hitter award goes to the nation’s leader in that category: Mason Neville at Oregon, with over 25 homers.

Most outstanding player: Alex Lodise, Florida State

For most outstanding player, I am going with Alex Lodise at FSU. Hitting over .400 this season, he is so consistent. He's clutch at the right times — never forget his walk-off grand slam to complete the cycle against Florida.

Best two-way player: Ethan Hedges, USC

For the best two-way player, I am going with Ethan Hedges at USC. He has double-digit homers, an over .330 average, and sub-2.50 ERA. 

Mr. Automatic: Jared Jones, LSU

The Mr. Automatic award goes to LSU’s Jared Jones. He's consistent time after time for the Tigers. A year after hitting 28 bombs, he smashed 19 this season. He's hitting over .330 with over 65 RBI, which ranks 3rd in the SEC.

Best duo: Wehiwa Aloy, Kuhio Alloy, Arkansas

Best duo, of course, goes to the Aloy brothers, Wehiwa and Kuhio, at Arkansas. They're not only brothers, but they're also both hitting .340 or above with double-digit home runs. Wehiwa won SEC player of the year, and Kuhio leads the team with almost 70 RBI. 

Best dugout antics: Georgia

How bout some fun awards? The Best Dugout Antics and Cellys award goes to Georgia. They never take an HR off — whether it's the dawg mask, the shopping cart, you name it, this has to be the most fun dugout and celebrations in baseball. 

Best mustache: Ben Miller, Duke

We did this one last year; it got a lot of traction. This year, I am giving it to Ben Miller at Duke. Need I say more? 

Base burglar: Lucas Moore, Louisville

The "Base Burglar" award goes to Lucas Moore at Louisville with over 45 stolen bases this season. 

Gold Glove: Aiva Arquette, Oregon State

I'm giving the Gold Glove award to Aiva Arquette at Oregon State. The web gems are unreal.

Most impactful transfer: Andrew Fischer, Tennessee 

For the most impactful transfer, I've got to go with Andrew Fischer at Tennessee. He transferred in and led the offense with over 20 bombs. 

Biggest team impact: Kerrington Cross, Cincinnati

Biggest team impact goes to Kerrington Cross at Cincinnati. Hitting about .400 is unbelievable, and he has significant power. He's a NPOTY candidate and leads Cincinnati in almost every category. He led the Bearcats to an ������Ƶ tournament at-large bid for the first time since 2019. 

Biggest risers: Vanderbilt

Biggest risers honor has got to go to Vandy. The Commodores ended last season unranked, started the season No. 16, and ended the regular season with the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament and top-ranked RPI — an impressive season and a complete team. 

Best comeback: Jake Knapp, North Carolina

And finally, the Best Comeback award goes to UNC’s Jake Knapp. Knapp missed the entire 2024 season after Tommy John surgery and then returned and put together a dominant season on the mound this year. He took home ACC pitcher of the year with a perfect 12-0 record and around a 2.00 ERA to lead the Tar Heels.
